You had a very bad wired connection and you redesigned it to another very bad one. Isolating the three cables to three separate connectors was a bad idea. The points that can break and suffer from a leak tripled! Your plugs should be magnetic without any need for insulation.

This is a must have if you plan to use 2 on a paddle board. I mean you could use 2 individual controllers, but then you have to make sure they are both in the same mode for speed. Just make your life easier and get a 2 to 1 controller if you're using 2 on a board or kayak.
